high all i wonder if you can help i went out in the Jeep today and when i got back to it, it started and then cut out, it did this a few times,
in in the end called out g/flag,
when he came along he said it was the immobiliser, because i was near a mast.i have never heard of this before can this happen, if so how is the best way to disengage the immobiliser,
he did bring me home though.
cheers john

beleive it or not , its not a rare occurance, A few of the older immobiliser systems  fitted in the mid 90's suffer from it.
Its all down to alarm/immobilisers not haveing been tied in to certain frequencies for operating.I was shown by a mate, when we were driving down the road, he got his orange mobile out and phoned home, all the mercedes cars on a transporter beside us , suddenly started cycling the  door locks.
you will need to find out exactly what immobilser you have to remove it as sometimes they are simple tie in's to the loom or some can have several tie in and you don't really want to mess with them.
alternatively just be aware of mobile phone masts and don't part directly in site of them.

If I park at the vsiitors car park in walsallmanor hospital or a car park in Bham city centre my car will not lock or unlock on the remote and ocasionaly the alarm will set itself as I drive into the city centre car park
