Just Stunned

I finally got around to pulling the torque converter off the 360 that was in my 2 door cherokee chief.
Thats the one with the chrysler 727 transmission.
I knew one of the torque converter bolts was fouling on the steel plate, but I wasn't expecting this.......

I thought I'd seen every bodge posible but this beats the lot. the autobox was on the engine when I bought the jeep.
Fuck knows whats going on here.
2 10mm bolts stuffed into the lugs, one GLUED up with epoxy.
1 drilled off to one side HOLE DRILLED in converter body (right through to the impellors) and tapped out.
All the holes on the flexplate have been moved inboard (and one sideways)
My best gues is this is a converter off a TF999 bodged onto a 727 box

May be able to help, the engine I’m getting is a 360 from a 1981 FSJ with column shift auto, and I’ll be converting it to manual so will have flywheel and converter going spare, and always open for a deal **cough** engine mounts **cough**

Torque converter off any '81 with a V8 should do the trick.
PM sent about it
I'm just wondering what else has been errr....repaired...to the same high standards????

I don't think I can help with CJ-V8 engine mounts.
Every V8 I've got has been pulled from a J series of some description.
I can't really see what all the fuss is about, just fabricate one!
