Yes, I wonder if Ric may be right in thinking that it may be just a bearing that has failed on the output shaft or something. That would explain why she will still move and all of that noise I am getting. Guess that would tie in with the transmission oil leak too. I really need to get to grips with it but am a little reluctant as I am a bit green when it comes down to it. Perhaps I should look at it as a giant Meccano set, I used to love my Meccano!
