What happened to the For Sale area ? Has it been replaced by the Classifieds ? By the empty Classifieds ?

yes it has been replaced by the classifieds, and will only be empty untill people start using it

I guess it was high time for a clearout of all the entries in the for sale that had been sold but were still listed !

one of the advantages of the new classifieds is the adverts last for 30 days, 5 days before it is due to expire poster will get an email giving the option to renew advert for another 30 days and this can be done 5 times (6 months in total) before the advert will expire, if advert does expire members can of course repost if they still have the item for sale.

other features are the ability to be notified when new adverts are submitted to a particular category, unlimited editing of listing and up to 4 photos per listing.

The disadvantage is you need to duplicate the advert if you want to try and sell to both Birtys and the public.

You also don't see if there are any new adverts unless you actually visit the site.
