XJ Softer shocks
« on: August 12, 2009, 10:42:42 AM »

I have a lift kit and shocks fitted to the XJ for about 2 years. As I am getting older I find the ride on tracks just too hard.
My fillings are suffering. :icon_super:
Excellent on smooth tarmac but I daily spend many kilometers on the rough.
I do not know the name of the shocks fitted, it was a Spanish all in one kit but did have
lots of Procomp stickers. The shocks are painted white.

My question is, can you recommend a more compliamt shock that does not cost an arm and a leg.  I will be in the
UK next month so will be able to purchase there.  Thanks.

Procomp are a badges OEM shock that a few companies use (pro comp, RC and a few others). Personally I found them way too hard, oil shocks are less harsh than the OEM gas shocks, I run the oil rough country on my XJ

it all depends on what you want to spend, cheap uk prices and they most probably be a hard ride. Talk to the guys at FTE and they will be able to advise you on which manufacturer to go for and what kind of price you will be paying

OME are the best IMHO, but about £70 each :jpshakehead:
