hi all!
starter motor is playing up again, gives on loud click/clunk, the solenoid in pushing the teeth onto the ring gear but not making the electrical contact for the motor to turn it starts eventually after about 50 turns of the key, this is a replacement starter from the scrappies been in for a good few months, i`ve hed the bastarding thing out of the jeep three times and as all you oil burning jeepers will know it is a total bitch of a job taking engine mount off and scraped knuckles...grrrr!!! already been out and cleaned and greased so i`d recon replacement is the answer!?
does anyone know where i can get just the solenoid from, stealership just quoted me £300 for the solenoid from germany or summit like that was too busy laughing to hear wot the price for the whole starter was, the motor part is fine and is fine on the one i originally removed as well so just the solenoid is required!!!!
