Should be pretty straight forward - look at the diff for a drain plug somewhere at the bottom.  If there isn't one take off the rear diff cover - should be just a ring of bolts.  You can get away with just removing the lower bolts and prizing the cover back just enough to drain it but I'd do it properly if I were you!

Look around half way up the diff for a fill plug - it'll be a hex (allen) key type socket I should imagine.  Get a CORRECT size allen key or hex socket and take it out.  It'll be tight - if you use a socket just a bit too small you'll wreck the plug!

Now you can see all your diff - give it a good clean out.  WD40 works well here.  Once cleaned as far as possible let it dry for a few minutes (time for coffee) then put yer diff cover back on with a new seal.  Coat each side of the seal and the mating face of the diff cover with hylomar for good measure and do it all up.  Use thread locker on the diff cover bolt  threads.

Now you can fill it up through the fill plug hole until it overflows from the plug hole.  Refit the fill plug and you're done.  Congratulate yourself and have a beer.  Take it for a spin soonest to get the oil circulated and everything protected again.

Use 75W90 GL5 gear oil. There is no drain plug on your Jeep, just remove the rear cover and then replace it with a bead of RTV silicone sealant. The filler plug is just a rubber bung. Fill the axle to 1/4" below the bottom of the bung.
