  hi, just after a little advise!
 
  just been offered this 1997 grand cherokee with suspect head gasket gone.
 
  is it a nasty job to do?  and are they any good for off-roading? thanks harry.

they are 2 a penny so it better be cheap, can you do the work yourself?

You can get a whole replacement engine for £150 or less at the moment.

the chap wants £450 for the jeep,will do the work myself sounds cheap enough to put a complete engine in,are they any good for off-roading?

been looking around at these jeeps and they dont seem to fetch alot of money, so paying 450 then replacing the head gasket or the engine

dosent seem to be worth while,when i can buy one running for 750.

as for off-roading nobody so far has had a bad word for them.

       maybe give this one a miss!
