Gents,
Good afternoon.
The CJ passed it's MOT this morning.I have decided to replace the front discs,as they are getting worn and I believe one may be warped.I am getting a pulsing through the pedal which corresponds with each wheel revolution.Are all CJ7 discs the same or did the fitment change after a certain year?Mine are vented and slotted,although I suspect the bling has been added aftermarket!If so, is there an easy way to verify visually? Can anyone recommend a decent supplier,or some brands that people may recommend (i.e. EBC).

Phone Lighthouse Jeep is the easy answer.
I believe there are two different thickness's of discs depending on the year but the ones i have seen are all vented and certainly not special.
Im sure if you measure them Lighthouse will put you straight, they aren't particularly cheap from what i remember, especially as you should change the pads at the same time.

1976/7 disks were £65 +vat from lighthouse a couple of weeks ago when i asked....just tell them the year, they seem to know there stuff

yup 76 77 are deffo not the same i cant remember  but i think its diameter then i am fairly sure the discs are the same but there was a caliper change for 84 but i think the disc remained the same if i get a chance i will look as i have some spares .........light house will list them i am sure

Thanks for your advice gents. The diameter difference is exactly what I was looking for, as I do not want to ring a supplier,get asked a question and not have the answer. I can't guarantee that the brakes are definately from the year that the truck was made, given that it has been arsed about with so much in the past.
Any further info gratefully received( as inded would be a set of useable second hand discs!)
