TJ radiator
« on: July 29, 2010, 01:28:37 PM »

I need a new radiator. All my local radiator suppliers can only offer left hand drive units. Does anyone know where to find a new RHD radiator for a 2001 TJ at a fair price?

Or buy a left hand drive one from ebay at around £120 and when you get it cut a notch in the metal suuround where the steering shaft would hit. I have been told that is the only difference between right and left hand drive rads!

I got a LHD all metal rad from the US for £140 all in. Chopped of the mounting panels from my old one and welded them onto the new one. Cheaper than a re-core for me.

bought a LHD Chinese radiator on ebay. same as stocker with plastic tanks, aluminium core and metal mounting wings.
I just unbolted the mounting wings and used the old ones. had to drill out the mounting holes on the old wings as the new radiator had larger bolts
