Fitted new Sussy bits
« on: October 31, 2005, 12:07:05 PM »

I've just put some Ironman springs and procomp shocks on the old Orvis GC, doesn't look like it's much higher (18.5" wheel ctr to arch) also replaced a few other bits as I was getting a severe shaking from the front end around 50mph (scary), steering damper (shagged) drop links (shagged) a/roll bar bushes (shagged) also noticed that the bolts holding the bottom end of the drop links were well waisted and on inspection found the holes in the bracket which is part of the front axle had worn oval, so drilled them out and used some bushes so all should be better there, I'd like to tell you that all is well now but I haven't driven it yet as some twat had welded the front end of the cat to the down pipe, presumably as it was getting blocked and blowing forward    anyway I've got a new cat to fit and have managed to chisel the weld away and cleaned the pipe up, just waiting for a break in the bloody rain to refit the lot.
