wipers
« on: November 15, 2010, 07:28:41 PM »

due to the cold snap we are hving i needed to use my wipers to clear the windowscreen tonight it was wet not frozen

but i noticed that the wipers were just about moving on intermittent they just about moved and on fast they did not move at all on slow they were very slow but moving

its a cherokee on a 93 plate am i looking at the wiper/indicator switch or the relay that has gone faulty?

regards

My rear wipe is a bit like that, I just give it a quick blast of penetrating oil and then phyisically help the blade move for a minute or 2. It just seems to gum up a bit when not used much. Never a problem with the front wipers as they're used every day in Scotland  :icon_sad:

I'd run the wipers on slow and give them some help to feel if there is any resistance in the motor/linkage first before taking things to bits
