I'm presuming these would fit a cj?
Would spacers this wide put strain on the studs?
How do they get them VOSA / M.O.T approved?

Any input guys?

accordin to jp mag they fit without any issues as long as they are fitted properly in the first place and checked after the first 100 miles, and then periodically, dont believe there is any mot issues, never heard of that, as long as they dont push ya tyres out to far

I didnt think there wold be issues in mot but with these guy quoting 'VOSA approved' I thought there may have been new rules & regs on having spacers.

They should fit, apart from that he's talking bollocks. I've asked him to explain. I agree Bubba, Its all well & good these people Quoting that they are approved by a profesional body, but when your trundling down the road in your jeep on a summers day Kids in the back with the roof down & the spacers fail & your front wheels fall off !!
I'm sure VOSA / MOT would certainly like to get invloved then !!!

The VCA (vehicle certification agency) Handle type approval in the UK anyway.

VCA to be honest wont be intersted in approving wheel spacers, they can do it for a company if asked but will charge them a fortune.

like with any wheel bolted to the hub, the spacer nuts will need to be checked for tightness after 100 miles then periodically after that. for piece of mind you could use a nut lock fluid to reduce the chance of the nuts undoing from vibration. Wheel nuts are checked in the same manner but no locking fluid used

If you really have a worry on about it, go for something with TuV approval. That's the German type approval that everything has to have if you bolt it to your car in Germany. Over there, if it ain't TuV approved for your motor, it ain't legal. They don't do that kind of thing over here yet.
