make sure that filter is on correctly,i had the same bother with my cherokee,i thought the filter was on tight but she was pulling air and doing what yours is doing,check the filter for weaps at the seals,hand tight is no use,get the correct filter tool,metal loop type and give it another wee tweek,i got another 1/4 tweek on the filter and now she is fine,cheap filters can give problems as well,try and get Mann filters if you can,but i reckon your pullinh ait through the seals,,,you only need a tiny amount for it to go pete tonk
