ZJ U-Joint replacement
« on: September 01, 2011, 06:09:52 PM »

Hey all,

New to the forums so please forgive me if I've posted in the wrong place.

I plan to replace my front axle u-joints at the weekend, and was wondering on the easiest way to do this, tools required, any thing to look out for, and any pointers you may have. Any advice appreciated

A big vice and a cheater bar and 2 sockets of diff sizes to assist the removal of old UJ............... circlip pliers, WD 40 and maybe a propane torch to apply heat! enjoy tis nice when you finish :icon_twisted: :icon_super:

Zj front axles are cv joints unless an Xj axle or shafts have been put in

Not on diesels. They had Spicer UJs, not CV joints.
