What is the best/safest/cleanest method of removing the old petrol from an 80 CJ's tank?

be feckin careful, and remember its the fumes that are the dangerous part. An empty tank is way more volatile than a full tank

What's the best way or is it to pay someone else to get blown up?

to what end?
if to just clean it the more fresh petrol will normally do, but have also used something with a higher evap like thinners to rinse then left an airline in it for a few hours to blow out the fumes
if you need to work on it (weld it) the fill it with water and leave it full while you weld it.

Empty out tank and put 1 bag of dry ice in .
Dry ice will evaporate and remove all fumes and dangerous shit..............

Diluting it with newer juice probably best. Just old petrol, nothing too sinister in it, that I'm aware of. Cheers.

Best to ditch old fuel cos it goes like varnish and change fuel filter and use injector/carb cleaner....... nothing worse than a spluttery old carb on a motorway

So how would you go about that? Procedure, disposal, etc.
