The support beneath the drivers seat has rotted, as has the floor pan, so both need replacing. The support also connects the body to the chassis. All pictured via link below.

Question, can this be replaced without taking the whole body off?? Hopefully I can jack up the body and replace the necessary support and floor.

Any thoughts or other ideas??

As with most stuff like this it all dcepends on how good your welding skills are, anything is possible its just getting access to weld is the problem, if it were me I would cut out the entire section of rust in the floor including the chassis/body support (in one piece) neatly and squarely then weld the new chassis/body support to the new piece of floor, mount this back to the chassis, and then weld back to the floor, this will limit the amount of welding to be done upside down which is a pain in the ass. You will however have to seam weld the chassis/body support back to itself aswell (upside down). Good luck

these are very handy for sheet metal work plus gives you a better finish. the price is dependant on what brand you have or buy

Cheers, I have a professional lined up for this weld as it looks like a pain to do and structural on top of that. Reckon it can be done by releasing the bolt connecting the chassis and body and jacking it up?  Good idea pre-welding the support in place.
