New springs fitted to merc axle on cherokee, what a job. Was going great till this happened...
Both sides.
Ended up cutting floor out above them(which I had just repaired) to fix,not a good day.

So you're saying you fitted these axles and lost the ability to take a photo that means anything?

Panic's right, captive nut that leaf spring bolt go's in. Wire was to see if I could get it back to weld it but was too close to thread, hence floor cutting out. Now just need to set angle of diff to prop before welding spring perches on,any idea of how to do this? I'll ignore twisty comment, seems to be alot lately.

Double cardon prop, point diff at transfer flange. Normal prop keep the flanges parallel to each other. if I remember correctly.

Would I need to take into account diff lifting when under power hence having it slightly lower than parallel ?

3-4 degrees should be some where close. But depends on setup.

I've got SYE down to a merc flange,I'll have to have a have a look about ,dont want to have to shim it if I can get away with it,just weld perches in the right place, first time. Thanks anyway.
