At last I've got my ex Iraq CJ-5 at home.
It's VIN no. identifies it as 1978.
During the restoration I want to convert to RHD.
A quick look and I cann't see anything too difficult to adapt.
I accept normally it's not worth doing but there are so many parts missing that keeping LHD isn't going to save much money in the end (I want PAS as well).
At present, with LHD steering box, the LH steering arm takes one ball joint and RH steering arm takes two ball joints.
The steering box drag link attaches to RH steering arm.
Anyone tell me with RHD CJ's is it the reverse ie LH steering arm takes two ball joints and RH take one ball joint or are the same arms use for both RHD & LHD with just the drag links being different ?
