I just bought one of these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B005FOIC3I/ref=sr_1_6_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1339714460&sr=8-6&condition=new

Its the same as MOCAJ lent me, reads & clears codes on a TJ ok.

I'll bring it over on Sunday & you can have a play  :icon_super:

TBH Stew I dont, used MOCAJ's a couple of times so bought my own, only got it this week but its a universal one so should read your fleet.

Next time we meet up, I'll bring it with us & we can try it on yours if you like. Its very simple, plug in, scan, read, delete if you want, simples  :003:

Obd II is the standard way for scanning problems on a vehicle,Since 1995 all cars sold in Europe had to have it, not all scanners can read or clear all codes tho

If it was from 95 the 99 Rovers owned by family would have had it. I believe it it US from 96, Europe from 2000. EU diesels didn't have to be 'compatible' till 03 I think too. Earlier diesels have OBDII but the connections I have seen on pre 03 diesels have had different pin outs and wouldn't work with a generic scan tool.
