Removed starter motor and cleaned. Removed back plate and had a peek in the brush department, all good.
Hooked motor up to spare battery and motor went round
Did a bit of reading on tinternet by googeling starter motor no worky .... yada.... yada...
Check earth cable (can be duff) so re-installed starter and rigged additional earth jump lead....... fired.....no go
Since I've got such a strong clunc from the starter solenoid when turning the key, fiddled around with the nut on the feed from solenoid to starter ...........
and .....lift off
that fookin simple ...nut off ....nut on ... go
Top tip : check/clean your leccy connections before running off to the starter motor chap
