Hello everyone
Not been on for a while , but need some advice.
Put my Orvis into garage for a brake change and new leaf springs on rear as one side was very soft and flat .. the mechanic rung me and said he cannot get the front bolts out as they are siezed , and he cannot get at the other end cos they are blind fixed inside the chassis.. mention of cutting welding lots of money and so on ..
Is there any trick to these as I see loads of you on here have changed the springs .. is there any access to the nut end of the bolt ?
Any help here would be appreciated .. I think I am gonna bite the bullet and do em myself .

There was talk of ATF/penetrating fluid mix and the like.

Wd40 is not a penetrating fluid. The Coke drink is just as effective. Wd40 is a moisture dispersant which is oil based. The propellant evapourates leaving a thin oil film.

Update on springs
soaked in plusgas.. bolts came out out springs.. well mostly .. still fighting the passenger side one where the bush has welded itself to bolt.
damn well went and broke the bolts on the top mounting of the shock absorbers, heads just sheared off instantly .. now I need some of those self tapping bolts . I have drilled the old bolts through the middle with a 6mm bit .. new bolts ow and bingo it can all start to go back together .
just as an afterthought I bought those poly bushes for the anti rollbar and rear shackles.. looking forward to improved cornering and ride.
front end bushes next project.

If you are going to use your vehicle off road, leave the rear anti roll bar off. Unless you are going to tow with it it will not make much difference. Keep the front one on and use quick disconnects for off road days. Its a Jeep not a racing car

Rear suspensio top bolts are guaranteed to sieze and break. The fronts will be alot easier. Fit a bar pin eliminator to reduces the clunks and squeaks from the dampers

Not offroading jeep .. it is used for shopping runs and night out .
Not lifting .. just standard springs.
Dave, What is a bar pin eleminator and where can I get them ?

aha I see now
obvious really .
thanks to both Dave and Nosebolt.. will update as i go along .. Jeep is still on stands at moment , still trying to get one spring off
seems the bush has welded itself to the bolt .. the thread is coming off allright but is pulling the bush with it , distorting the metal on the outside fixing area.. maybe angle grinder soon lol.

Angle grinder came out the other day .. jeep back on road now .
will try and post some before and after piccis .
