CJ7 Kickback Switch
« on: September 25, 2012, 01:36:10 PM »

OK I've only just read about kickback switches on the TH400.  I have these switches on my gas petal on 2 of my CJs but I dont see any benefit. From reading on the topic I should feel the jeep kick into a higher gear and should get an acceleration rush.

Ive come across this while investigating poor performance on my 4.2 1979. I think it might be Vacuum leak but these kickback switches are interesting.

My question is: is there any way to test the kickback switch is working properly and is wired correctly. If I get vacuum leaks sorted and kickback switch working this should be a bit more responsive.  It needs loads of gas just to drive up a 5 degree road.
