I do reckon that hair line is a result of the punishing I gave it at CF thee years ago :hysterical:UJ went bang but inner and outer survived :icon_super:

Cos it was so tight I couldn't do the repair at CF and it got done on my trusty monster çhinese vice, with 2 sockets.and a 6 foot cheater bar :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:

Normally when I have done this on a Crown part Tis a sloppy fit due to stretching after the UJ went bang. On this one was soooooo tight and remained so after the UJ was put back......

BUT.  Reckon the damage was done and that hairline crack was just waiting to show its ugly head.....just sad that should be you that inherited the damage not the other 2 owners between me and you.
Guess any US manufacture of chrome moly Dana 30 shafts should be OK..don't be tempted by Crowncos all locked up on 35s twill go bang again.....VERY quickly
