With the possibility of a night run at CF i was thinking of more lights...

I dont have any spots or fogs at the mo but ive bin looking at KC slimlite 100W driving lights to maybe fit on the front bumper ( i know they'd be no good on the back would they  :wink:    preferably to do with lights  :D

Im running Hella 500's on an OE lightbar attached to the front bumper and Im pretty happy with them as I do a lot of night laning

KC's have a good reputation as do PIAA, You could go the Cibie route but I personally think they are too large

IMHO you can't beat KC's.

Greggmo and I have Stainless 6" Daylighters. (I am just waiting for another means of mounting mine... )

They're very tough and the light from them is awesome.  Good range of bulbs available, some road legal, some not. Lots of aftermarket bits for them too.

KCs with the 130W sealed beam. You can dunk them and not ruin the reflectors with muddy water.

I've got 4 slimlines on the front of Barbie.  2x100w and 2x120w

I can't fault them and they're solid enough.  Another plus is you can get all the spares for them, and when I say all I mean ALL.

If you've got the room, I'd go for stainless Daylighters though.  They're a bit cheaper, don't go rusty and as Mike says, you can get the 130w sealed beams! :wink:

So a set of brand new Cibies (7") for £50 wasn't worth it ????

I would say mount them high and point them down to light over bumps... Tis what the light bar was inverted for! Or those windscreen or bonnet hinge mounts... on the bumper is a bit too low for off roading IMHO. (Mine are currently on the bumper!)

Also they should get less wet up there than on the bumper too!
