Front springs on rear?
« on: November 11, 2013, 03:36:41 PM »

I've read somewhere, possibly here, that its possible to fit front ZJ springs to the rear axle giving the truck a lift.
Is this correct? If so, how much lift does it give and do I have to fit spacers on the front to lift that also?
As usual any links or pics would be great

Thanks for the links.
Some are saying you need to change track bars and control arms, where others don't, anyone had their own experiences?

I put Cherokee fronts on the rear of my zj and gained about 2.5 inch.  Just watch the panard rod as it pull that axle to the passenger side and with no load in the back the spring rattles on the chassis sometimes..

OK, so I've now read a few write ups elsewhere with conflicting comments on track bars and control arms being needed. One site (rough country I think) say that there is alternative mountings already for anything up to 3.5" and you only need control arms for +4". What do you guys say?
