Insuring a LHD Jeep in the UK - specialist insurer needed?
« on: January 31, 2014, 08:49:07 PM »

Calling those forum members who have brought LHD Jeeps into the UK - was it difficult to get insurance? Did you have to go to a specialist insurer, or will the mainstream companies cover it?

Cheers chaps. I used to be insured with Flux about 20 years ago, during the era when hot hatch insurance went insane - and I was 21 with zero no-claims (because I'd never had my own policy before) with a Golf GTi 16v.

It's not going to make much difference, my WK is an import but no-one really cares - might be different if it was a crazy spec Impreza I suppose.
