99 XJ Modular steels - centre caps
« on: January 01, 2015, 02:00:46 PM »

I have fitted a set of steel modulars, but am concerned about the exposed hubs. Does anyone have a source for centre caps that will fit?

These are now virtually unavailable in the UK I am led to believe. Having bought wheels from JCS in Notts and Devon 4x4, they both no longer import caps :icon_sad: You ask Dave at Llama to bring you a set in from the states?

Got some off the bay of thieves a few years back

You after these ones

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-2001-JEEP-CHEROKEE-WRANGLER-15-Wheel-center-cap-52057618-Silver-OEM-USED-/191466196817?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c94464f51&vxp=mtr

Had those on my standard steels, didn't fit the mods tho  :banghead: so no centres on mine either, don't miss them.  :098:

Not needed, but damn funny if you put a few small stones inside someone elses so they rattle at low speed.

Thanks for the replies chaps. I'll ACF50 the exposed parts and then slather them in waterproof grease! Like the small stones trick, cruel, but funny..

exposed grease attracts muck and stones which then turns into a grinding paste on moving parts

Ah yes, marbles!
Pop a few in a flat tobacco tin under the back seat of a mates car.
Take them out every now and again, it'll drive him nuts.
But, be warned, if he catches you, you're dead meat!
