Took the wife's Nissan Pathfinder in for its MOT in Inverness with 2 new x Continental X contact tyres that I knew it needed Plus a new serpentine belt as the old one was slightly frayed.
Passed MOT- but the new belt did exactly the same thing started fraying immediately
My guys tell me that there have been recalls on the serpentine belt pulley tensioner - but Not on ours which is a 2010 model and it is a common fault
But Nissan want £370 for the part!!!
Does anyone know anything about this?
I told them to look at Milner off road-
Is this a common fault with Pathfinder 2.5 diesels?
We have down an enormous mileage in the car 76k in 4 years- with no faults- so far!
