o my goodness the world is going to come to a cataclysmic end i have flat towed hundreds of 4x4s without causing a rip in the space time continuum for tj xj zj i have always put the chains on the inboard of the spring mount on the axle tube the diff side is tight if auto i put them in park with transfer in neutral if manual both in neutral the worst that plod can do is do you for an unbraked trailer over 750kg tyres must be legal and you should have trailer board and towing vehicles reg on itjust make sure you are towing with something up to the job

Hopefully up to the job.I've a trailer board and sign for window.Numberplate on it also.

I find it strange, if the t/case is in neutral, why does it matter what the gearbox is in??
