Seatbelt clip wire
« on: October 17, 2015, 08:40:26 PM »

Hi All

I need to swap the seatbelt clip on the front passenger seat (its the clip thats accepts the seatbelt - see attached) of my 3.7 KJ.  I have the tool to remove the 'star' bolt, but I can't how to remove the wire that passes through the frame and goes into the above (it's the wire that tells the edc that someones using that seat and that the belt is being used).  On one end the cable runs into the clip) No way to remove it) at the other end it has a plus which plugs in under the seat. BUT the cable passes between the seat bottom and the seat frame and I cannot see how you can remove it without cutting and soldering it.  I can't imagine that JEEP would actually design it that way, so is there something I'm missing?

Regards
Craig.
