Axle compatibility question
« on: June 01, 2016, 07:09:42 PM »

My saga of trying to fix the back axle in my grand continues...

Can anyone confirm if all 4.7l WJ/WG grands came with quadradrive (and thus vari-lok/hydra-lok axles)?

I know it was standard on overlands, and optional on other specs but for some reason I have in my head that it was standard fit in all V8s regardless of spec and HO/non-HO engines?

There is an axle not far from me quoted as being from a 4.7 but I don't know if it will be equipped with the Vari-lok/Hydra-lok diff...

No, not all WGs had it, V8 or otherwise.

ask for a photo/details of the axle tab, if it says 75/140 on one of them it has a varilock

Thanks, I have managed to get an axle from a Quadradrive 4.7 limited locally, but there was a more local one from a 4.7 which the seller couldn't confirm if the jeep had quadradrive.
