intercooler pipe location?
«
on:

hello
have just re connected the pipes to the intercooler on a 2.5td xj after replacing the steering box, I put them on with jubille clips and on the test drive the bottom pipe blew off the intercooler.
I need to know if I have put them on the right way around, should the longest straightest pipe from the inlet manifold go on the top inlet of the intercooler and will any damage have been caused?
desperately awaiting your replies!

what is the secret to getting the top hose clamp on and off at the intercooler?
There isnt enough room to manouver a tool, does the fan and shroud have to come off?
have spent 2 hours faffing with this!

It should be a doddle if you have the right hose clamp tool, I think they are called waterpump pliers.
Trying to do it with pliers or molegrips just don't work.
