Jeep cherokee 2.5 l TD Gasket size

Hi
Just looking for a bit of info, my jeep cherokee has a cylinder gasket with the two hole indicator on it , I have purchased a new gasket but the supplier has sent me, a gasket with the one hole indicator on it,( I had asked for the two hole one). is it ok to use this instead? id appreciate any info.

As you have probably guessed the one hole and two hole identifiers mean different thicknesses in the gasket. Technically yes you can use it but will it cause an issue with running......possibly.

Cheers Dave, they're the lads who sent me the thicker gasket by mistake, they say it doesn't make any difference.

at least you have a genuine knowledgeable answer, i assume its a one piece gasket, as the individual ones require the end plates modifying.

you gain nothing from individual gaskets as the gaskets are covered by adjacent heads, so when you remove one you disturb the head next to it
