cj7 trans rebuild

For those that don't know the rear prop broke on the Cj on my journey home from CF, resulting in a broken transfer case, transfer lever, rear prop and pinion, rear spring and handbrake cable, oh and fooked a tyre aswell.
The current set up from front is AMC 360, th400, novak adapter, dana 20 t/fer to d44 with 31" tyres. I currently have 2" of shackle lift, but I have 2.5" lift springs waiting to go on along with 33" tyres
I've not been overly happy with the low gearing(2:1) of the dana 20 and had sourced a spare dana20 t/case which I was gonna do a low gear conversion on (very expensive) when I can afford it. So do I-

Plan 1. re gear the 20, do the lift, and hope I can get a prop that can do the short sharp angle, the length of the th400, adapter, dana 20 means the rear prop is extremly short. Any ideas Tom woods prop maybe?or

Plan 2. Source a donor for one of the later cj7 autos chrystler, torqueflite or what ever they are that come with the dana 300(lower geared I believe)take the skid plate and props and just bolt it all together and hope it will manage the 4" of lift.
My diffs are 4.11 so I assume the gearing of the dana300 with 33" tyres will be satisfactory.
The jeeps sat in the garage waiting for my attention, and I need to get started on it. Any thoughts guys on which way to proceed.

Hi Dingo
I know its stating the obvious, but your drive train setup must have been built many times before in the states, as V8 + auto is considered desirable, but nobody wants to keep the quadratrac system.
All their trail rigs run suspension lifts with big wheels, and CJ7/YJ is the most common chassis, so there's probably someone who's devised a prop that can take it by now.
I've just thought of someone who has a rear dana 44 they were selling.

Save some pennies and buy my flat CJ.

You can put your tub on her and can use the T150 manual box set up. She is mega spec. and ready to 'roll'.
