Glow plugs

Hello,

My diesel xj is having trouble starting in the morning, so I need to change the glow plugs I think...........now looking at the job there seem to be a couple of b4sterds to get too.............any tips on how to get these changed would be appreciated  8)

Disconnect the supply rail/wires and test the resistance of each. IIRC they should be about 1/2 Ohm. If one or more is significantly highter than the rest, replace it. The ones behind the diesel pump are a bugger to get at so do this first and you might save yourself some hassle.

How can that be right  £21.14 + vat each glow plug  at my local dealership :roll:  Paddock glow pugs do you reckon they will be ok.



Any recomendation as to where to buy :?

i have some used ones knocking around, not sure how many but they're yours if you need them

Thats bloody good of you Dave.......................................................... but if I am going to mash my knuckles up.........I only want to do it once :lol:

I may just buy the two b4sterd to get to ones, as people tend not to bother with those I guess :roll:

I got a set for my old WJ for 50 + vat from a local factors (set of 5, the 3.1 is a 5 popper). Had to try a few factors as they're not that common.

if you want new injectors get a price from George at the vm specialist you might be surprised. If you want them G-RIDER then just pm me an addy and i'll send them
