XJ transmission

hi guys
the transmission fluid keeps leaking out on long trips (cheapfest)
we have renewed both seals that we may of thought could been causing the trouble

also the radiator hoses are sucking air in

any ideas guys?

The reason for my XJ not attending CFest was also leaking rear of tranfer seal. But also my bottom rad hose had perished and split causing a few probs so check that out.

Hoses sucking in air? Have you got a diesel? sounds more like cracked heads to me.

if your bump stops are too short and you disconnecty off road,you could have crushed the transmission cooling pipes causing a build up of pressure blowing the seals, look o/s pipes run along sump, could be pinched by axle,

i think that one is a petrol the crushed pipes thing i have seen before now you mention it

Yep, had to replace sections of my pipes where the axle crushed them.
