steering pipes

HI all does any one know if their is any way of getting around having to buy steel steering pipes for an X J other than from the JEEP main dealers

I would say an hydraulic hose making company should be able to make some or get some secondhand ones from a breakers yard

we have two very good pipe makes in this area but both gave me the same answer 1 they cannot flare the ends the same 2 the pipe is not a standard size it is not 12mm or 1/2 in the one guy looked at the steering box end and said he had never seen a bundy tube sent back on it's self to form the end in all the years he had been a pipe maker an he was older than me an I ain't no youngster

try pirtek. they make em to fit what you want.
