hi can anyone help me im looking 4 a front nudge bar 2 sit on my 97 grand as im taking it froading more and more i really dont wanna smash up the front anymore than i have 2!!!!

Not many options for the front of the ZJ to protect the plastic bumper. If you don't mind the image just pop if off when you go off-road (or remove it when ur there and tie it down in the boot). It has only 5 plastic clips holding it on 2 below grille and 3 underneath then pull forward at each side to slide of brackets - it's a 10 min job the 1st time u do it. Gives u a big improvement in approach angle too  .

I wouldn't bother, if you bump into something they usually damage more of the bodywork than if they weren't there at all. Only something like an ARB bumper is worth the hassle.

Interested in the views on removing them via clips....what about spotlights and connections???

I didn't have spots in my bumper so wasn't an issue, I don't think it would be too big a job to disconnect them. I suppose you could even add waterproof connectors for the wiring to speed things up for the future. I don't have any piccies but I'll pop the bumper off tonight and take a couple of photos (weather permitting!!)

Took a few pics this afternoon.
 
remove front grille (2x screws below bonnet + 2x through grille)


Clips can be seen here - 3 on top can't remember how many underside of bumper cos I removed the bottom of my bumper a while ago. Just ease them out with needle nose pliers


Pull bumper forward of side clips


Inside edge of bumper


Either leave as is or put front grille back




I hope this makes sense. It helps the approach angle quite a bit especially at stock height and also make getting to the recovery points a lot easier.
