need to change the starter motor, my mate has had a quote from a garage and its silly money

is it difficult ?

and has anyone got a second hand one for sale ?

any info appreciated  8-)

Tis a bit of an arse of a job :evil:
its got 3 10mm bolts and a bracket on the front
undo the leccy bits 1st then the 10mm bolts,for the top bolt you really need  lots of wobbly extention bars and go in from the top, above the water pump,
you can, just, see the top bolt, just, then undo the bracket!
don't drop it on your head, it will hurt..............lots
about 130 squids should see it refurbished.

oh, be prepared for lots of grief from the heat shields  :roll:
you may have to take the engine mounting bracket off :-?

leave the downpipe on and drop the right hand engine mount, disconnect the battery before removing the leccy cables, 3 bolts and pull it out. 1 to 2 hrs should be plenty of time
