Cherokee LPG problem
« on: July 02, 2008, 04:51:43 PM »

I've just bought a '95 Cherokee 4.0l Ltd with an lpg conversion - great car,  well maintained - and it's driven absolutely perfectly on petrol and gas for the past few days, until I accidentally let the lpg tank run dry on its way to its first fill up. Maybe it's a coincidence but since then, it's started cutting out at junctions and roundabouts when on lpg. It starts, idles and runs fine on petrol, it doesn't miss or backfire at all and even runs ok on lpg, as long as I remember to switch back over to petrol if there's a roundabout coming up.  Has anyone else had this happen? Any advice or suggestions gratefully received..

Thanks - I'll try giving the filter a clean and see what happens, assuming I can find it, that is!

You normally find filters in solenoid valves.
