Where can I find this number on the YJ. Is it the serial number?

Vehicle Identification Number.....is the same thing as the serial number/chassis number

you will find it on the top of the dash as you look in through the passenger side. if you are rhd that is. 8-)

no way....that yj still has its under hood padding and origional jack and brace :shock:

Vin number is also stamped on the side of the right hand frame rail, but you'd be hard pushed to find it!
And also stamped in the top of the crossmember above the fuel tank next to the lefthand body mount, only visible if you take the body off :shock:

I need a new anorak.........
