Hi there
I drive a 51 reg Grand 3.1 LTD and am having trouble with gear box.
1) Won't change from 2nd to 3rd till i either rev to 3500rpm and release
    throtle or knock it out of gear then back again.
 
2) After about a hour or so driving the OD turns itself off for no reason it
    only turns back on again once engine stoped for a while.

Im really not sure my self so any help would be great i don't want to fall out with the car but could happen soon if no answers can be found.

Get it checked for fault codes first, but it's usually the governor pressure sensor.

Thanks for your reply. I,v checked for fault codes and theres none found.

I live in staffordshire can anyone suggest a good garage/person that could sort this problem.
