« on: September 18, 2008, 10:36:25 AM »

Hello, sometimes when starting my 2.5 TD Cherokee 1998 pushing down the clutch pedal to engage the starter motor, nothing happens. Can I bypass this sensor ? or replace it ? where is it located ? any ideas ? Thanks

You can bypass it as it is only really a safety feature, someone will be along shortly who can tell you how.

this is a standard feature on american manual cars as the clutch needs to be pressed in order for the engine to start. saves the company being sued by a muppet who starts a car in gear. quite a few cars in the uk have this feature also
