My electric windows have stoped working & the manual has no trouble shooting  section  could it be a fuse?

Sorry M8 haven’t even got doors let alone windows

As a rule I always check the cheapest component first, so for your problem I would check in this order;
1.   fuse
2.   switch
3.   wiring
4.   window motor
5.   raiser mechanism
changing a 50p fuse then finding out it’s the motor aint as bad as changing a £50 motor and then finding it’s the fuse.

Cheers, don't wanna sound like a dumb ass but.............. any idea which fuse as manual dosen't list windows/mirrors on any?

not knowing what you are driving (allways helps to include model and year) most fuse boxes have fuse function either on the box or the lid, other than that check them all cant be more than 20 or so, if any have blowen, change em, if none have blowen asume its not the fuse and move on.

Hi folks, aswell as the windows on all doors the mirrors and door lights dont work, have looked at the fuses they all seem ok.  Any help on what next step is as have a window half down and supposed to be going on hols in car tomoz! Cheers in advance

I've been trying to post this for a four days now but the website seems to go down every time I try. After that I can't refresh any pages on the site. Hopefully today will be different.

There is a control module in each front door. They control the power windows, power mirrors and door lights. The modules get power from fuse 12 (50 Amp) in the under hood power distribution center. Hopefully that will be your problem.

Sorry to be of so little help with my first response. I just couldn't resist it.

Whilst I’m not sure about what I’m on about here, Mike or someone else can confirm this, but I recall reading that the windows on certain models are controlled by a module in the door which is reset by disconnecting the main battery for a while and reconnecting it. This resets the door module and everything works again.

Do a search on here and you might find what I’m on about.
