Loss of driver door controls
« on: August 21, 2008, 08:18:20 AM »

I have an annoying problem with the jeep. Occasionally I will lose all the controls at the driver's door console, windows, mirrors and central locking. I think there must be a connector under the dash which is loose but all the connectors that I can get my hand to seem solid.

Has this happened to anyone else or do any of you lads know where I should be directing my attention? Also I have only partially removed the panels below the steering wheel at the moment; will I have to take the whole dash out to get to where the problem lies.

Disconnect the battery for a minute to reset the drivers door module.

Was wondering whether you resolved your problem as my Grand Cherokee Ltd 04 2.7CRD has just developed exactly the same problem. No driver door controls and strangely the air conditioning controls have reversed , so if you put it on Hi it blows cold and visa versa

That's a bad earth or broken wire in the door harness.
