xj light switch

anyone upgraded this switch to a more reliable one. i've had the origional bakelite one fall to pieces and a plastic one melt.

No need to upgrade the switch, just wire it to relays and power the lights from the battery rather than having all the power go through the switch.

that's my in my plan to do but just wondered if there was anything to improve the switch itself

Take the load off the switch by using relays.
