time gentlemen please
« on: January 02, 2009, 10:07:32 PM »

i have never worn a watch, a throw back to my time as a mechanic years ago but correct me please if i'm wrong but the 98 cherokee dosent have a time clock, the trip computer only measures tim since last switch on.
the radio has time but that means changing the display each time.
in any case i have a good cd player from my old car which i will fit instead of the radio, seems a shame.
there will be a gap below the cd player of about an inch or so, i  am building a digital clock to fit ,with some nice blue 7 segments ,will put the pics on when ive finished,

regards

Have you considered using a fascia adapter?

hi
these are the ones i just bought you will need an adapter if you don't want to cut and solder wires was only £4.99 and saves the work (though i ended up with more soldering for the phone kit) and looks fairly neat with the adapter in place though not quite as good as original sounds better though also the infinity amp is just a booster from the speaker inputs so all speakers work fine
item number 250342230590 for the surround £3.99
item number 370129476704 for the wiring     £4.99 plus i asked for postal discount and saved another £1 if you need to look at his listings to find it they do vary in price i guess depending on his mood when listing! just find the cheapest it was a genuine autoleads part for the surround and wire was but all worked fine
will upload a photo so you can see fitted shortly

You can tell the radio to display the clock all the time.

thanks all
one little mod i must do when i eventually get the floor console out,is a led light on the ashtray ,im ashamed to say i do smoke and the ashtray area is pitch black, the 4wd light indicator loom is only inches away so it should only take a couple of minutes.
ps 12 volt leds are readily available now, no need for a ressistor.

thanks again
