No hot air from heater,
« on: January 21, 2009, 07:23:45 PM »

Hello again, another problem with my 2000 grand cherokee 3.1td,my dual climate control only blows out warm air even if its at 85 degrees .
The recirculation works fine, and on journeys the temp needle reads just over the quarter and never moves beyond that making me think that there is no thermostat fitted.
I went to top up the coolant as the coolant light came on and found that it didnt need topping up, the water was rather frothy though and thought the headgasket was on its way out but the oil is ok, i have been told if it is not losing water and does not overheat it cant be a headgasket problem, maybe its a blockage or it has no thermostat fitted is this right many thanks.

London Jeep Specialists and EDM Jeep offer a suitable fix for much less than other garages. Work was recently done for JeepClub member by London Jeep @ £400 +VAT and they were very happy with it. Dealer fix is around £1500 I believe

That ebay link is for EDM! So at £245 it seems a good deal unless you fit a kit yourself.
