Hello all,

New member here. Great forum.

I have a 2004/54 Cherokee KJ 2.5CRD Ltd. Where the jack/tool stowage is under the rear passenger seat, the threaded insert that the case screws into is missing (the threaded bolt just sits in the hole ). Vehicle has just been into the dealership for a new key and remote but they said they couldn't find the part number when i asked. Anybody with a manual help??

Bloody hell, that was quick. Its the clip nut that the whole stowage screws into in the floor pan (as shown in the top diagram). Lancaster Witham said they couldn't find the number for it??

Which number is it on the diagram? Then we can get you the part number.

It's not one of the numbered items. Its the small seperate clipnut that goes in the floor plan hole that the whole stowage screws into. (Its shown in the upper diagram)

Looks like it could be part of number 4.

52128755AA - Bracket and locator, Screw jack clamp
52129757AA - Bracket and locator, Bottle jack clamp

Decide if you have a screw jack or bottle jack. It will be the whole thing, just so you can get the bit you need. Bummer.

Please check with the dealer first, their parts system might give a clue.

You might be able to get a Rivnut to fit, it depends on the size of the bolt and the diameter of the hole. A rivnut as the name sugests is like a pop rivit but with a nut in it . As you pull up on the nut it expands like the pop rivit so the hole size is important.

P.S. If you work in a factory talk to the maintenance . If they cant help you,ld have to go to a wholesaler where you get nuts and bolts.
